Prayer of the Church of Chile to Teresa de Los Andes
Teresa de Los Andes,
Who by the hand of Mary was changed
Into a young girl in love for Jesus Christ,
You are a model of holiness
And a way of perfection for the Church.
You knew how to laugh, to love, to play and to serve.
You were strong to bear suffering
And generous to love.
You knew how to contemplate God
In the simple things of life.
Show us the love of the Father
To live friendship in joy
And tenderness in the family.
Help the week and the sorrowful
That the Holy Spirit
May encourage them in hope.
Intercede for us
And ask for Chile love and peace.
Teresa de Los Andes,
Predilected daughter of the Chilean Church,
Religious of Carmel,
Friend of young people,
Servant of the poor,
Pray for us every day.
