Of Saint Hilary, bishop and doctor of the Church, who, having been elevated to the See of Poitiers in Aquitania, in his writings fought vigorously under the emperor Constantius, a follower of the Arian heresy, on behalf of Nicene faith concerning the Trinity and the divinity of Christ, on account of which he was banished to Phrygia for four years.
