Saint of the Day

On the day of 20 January

Of Saint Sebastian, martyr, who, having come from Milan, as Saint Ambrosius tells us, traveled to Rome and suffered there when violent persecutions were raging; therefore, in the City to which he had come as a stranger, he attained possession of the dwelling place of everlasting immortality. His burial likewise followed in the Catacombs of Rome on this same day.
