Of Saint Angela Merici, virgin, who first took the habit of the Third Order of Saint Francis and gathered girls whom she instructed in works of charity, then, in the name of Saint Ursula, she founded an Order of women to whom she entrusted the obligation of leading a perfect life in the world and training young girls in the ways of the Lord; at last she delivered up her soul at Brescia in Lombardy.
